Tender & chase boat operations
The team’s 60ft tender ASB 1 and the chaseboats
that are always in attendance when the yachts are sailing
provide essential support to sailing and design crews. As well as acting
as a tow-"boast", ASB 1 is fitted with computers to capture
data transmitted from the race yachts and is the "mother ship" for
the testing programme. The chaseboats have a safety role as
well as ferrying people and equipment between yachts, the tender
and shore.
