Emirates Team New Zealand has increased its lead in the 2010
Audi MedCup season with a hard-fought second place in Barcelona.
NZL 380 went into the Camper regatta at Barcelona with
an 18.5 point lead over Audi A1. At the
end NZL 380 was on 97.5, 28.5 points clear of Quantum Racing on 126 and 45.5 ahead
of Artemis on 143.
TeamOrigin is fourth on the season leaderboard with
153.5 points. With a dismal 11th place at Barcelona, Audi A1 has
slipped to 6th for the year.
Artemis won the Camper MedCup regatta at Barcelona, two points
ahead of Emirates Team New Zealand.
Only one race of the two scheduled was sailed on the
final day. Light conditions delayed the start until 2.47pm and there was no
time for the second.
